On 2 November the third Bosch Requiem, composed by the Composer of The Netherlands, Calliope Tsoupaki, will be first performed at the November Music Festival. A musical prayer to Mother Mary in times of doubt and need. Millions of people on this globe seek comfort from Mother of God. The Greek/Dutch composer Calliope Tsoupaki places Maria in the middle of her brand new Bosch Requiem. Liknon is a baroque ode to the mother of all mothers and it means baby-swing-cradle. With some icons of Mary on her dying bed, you see Jesus holding her in his arms as a newborn baby, so the circle is complete. Prior to the world premiere of Calliope Tsoupaki’s new requiem, writer Lot Vekemans will read a text specially written for this occasion.
